About Us

Since  early 1900's the facility was a fully operating dairy farm, known as Quinniquack farm, situated on more than 250 acres. Today it has been renovated to a equestrian facility that is home to more than 30 horses. The lower barn now includes a 120'x 60' indoor riding arena, 25 matted box stalls, grain, feed, and  a tack room with individual locking closets, grooming stalls and a heated wash stall with hot and cold water.  We offer grass turn out on  more than 75 acres. We have a 150'x 200' outdoor arena with a full 12 fence hunter course, direct access to a 30 plus obstacle cross country course and a 60' round pen to meet all of your riding and training needs. Our upper barn offers 16 matted box stalls, sliding doors, and Nelson auto-waterers.  This barn also includes a tack room and grain room, extra storage and a new maintenance garage. We are a full care boarding facility, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff who strive to provide the highest quality care for all our animals, and a safe clean environment for horses and riders.

Meet the Staff

Amy Lyons is our owner and head trainer with over 25 years of riding and teaching experience. She has ridden and shown in several disciplines and worked with/trained horses from the ground up while specializing in rehabbing and retraining rescue and "problem" horses. She teaches in a relaxed style to promote understanding of not just the what, but the how and why of riding. She works to ensure that each rider has a true understanding of horses and horsemanship. Keeping training, health and care as close to nature as possible. Amy has devoted all her time and resources to offer the area an opportunity to learn about and work with horses. She believes that everyone can benefit from time with horses and that the barn is a true therapeutic environment.
Carl Lewicki is our trail master, he has lived at valley view for 6 years. He has devoted many hours to exploring the trails in out quiet corner. In addition he helps with the maintenance of the property and the care of the animals.  Carl has years of experience with horses, having worked at several farms with all types of horses. With a focus on safety, fun and learning everyone loves to go out riding with Carl.
